From my grandparents’ gardens and kitchens, I learned the beauty of food, the art of celebration, and the deep connection between family, traditions, and gratitude. I’ve always been drawn to natural, holistic ways of living—nourishing the body, honoring the earth, and embracing the magic of everyday moments. 

I was blessed to grow up in a family that cherished gathering around the table, sharing homemade meals filled with love. One side of my family brought rich Italian flavors—plates of fresh pasta and garden vegetables—while the other side shared hearty Eastern European dishes like pierogies and pagach. But beyond the food, there were the gardens—lush, abundant, and tended with care. Every spring, the soil was tilled, compost was worked in, and plants were rotated, ensuring a thriving harvest without a drop of chemicals. It was all about patience, strategy, and respect for the land. 

And the dirt—I loved playing in it! Thank you, Grandma Katie, for letting me dig my hands into the greenhouse soil, where the scent of damp earth promised new life. That connection to nature never left me, and it continues to inspire how I live, heal, and share with others.
